George likes to say he started working at Becon the day he was born. Following in his father’s footsteps, George started coming to the shop as a little boy, taking pleasure in small tasks and odd jobs that allowed him to be involved in his father’s business. While growing up, throughout his college years, and when he finally started his career at Becon, George held nearly every position at the company — from janitor to designer/engineer to QC manager and general management — and is now Becon’s CEO.
George received his engineering degree from University of Hartford in 1990.

Sovann's experience at a technical high school was a natural fit for employment at Becon. Driven by a desire to work with his hands, he began his career as a welder/fabricator and gradually progressed through the ranks, to various QC positions — to production management, to director of manufacturing, and, finally, to the position of Assistant Vice President — all while maintaining a hands-on approach.
Sovann holds several qualifications, including NDT Qualifications (Levels 1 & 2).
